Mr. Dinosaur, it's your day! Shamini takes a minute from her hectic schedule to smile for the camera.. our interns, Farina & Aina (with tudung), manning the media registration table..
Waiting for the guest of honour to arrive.. Ain & Yati with the "signing" pen..
(l-r) Shafie, Fred & Daniel looking sharp.. En. Saiful with his dinosaur tie.. Moi, in sarung kebaya, pictured here with Shafie..
The minister came pretty much on time, shook hands with almost everyone as he was ushered to the exhibit area, launched the exhibition and went on a tour with our CEO and Director of Exhibits Technology. The tour took a little longer than expected as, like I'd mentioned, the man was a great sport and wanted to try out many of the interactive exhibits. After the tour, all the guests were ushered to the Malaysian Petroleum Club (MPC) on the 42nd Floor for the other 'formalities' (i.e. speeches) and lunch. I was pretty bummed out as halfway thru' the speeches the battery in my camera died! Aiya! N'er mind - I still had my cell phone.

The plaque at the entrance of MPC that says it was opened in 1992 but, as many people remarked, KLCC wasn't even built then - actually, MPC was opened in 1992 at the Dayabumi building, PETRONAS' former headquarters, and had relocated to KLCC when it opened. Our CEO delivering her speech..

Lunch was at Temana Brasserie on the 41st floor.. Looking out the window from where I sat to have lunch, I could see the Avenue K building from across the road..

The view looking out the window..
