Jamie's Farewell Lunch - 26 May 2009

Our colleague, Jamie Bell (yes, same as the actor), our Director of the Centre of Learning had come to the end of his term and decided to return to the US to be with his family. So, we took him to lunch a couple of days before he was due to leave.

Lunch was Japanese at Nippo Tei.. Not our first choice - we would have prefered Kiku Zakura at Avenue K but.. they'd closed down!

Rafidah had the tempura set with garlic fried rice.. Yum!

Jasmin with her.. um.. soupy udon dish..? I dunno what it's called..

Jamie & I had the same - the Saba Shioyaki set.. Can't really go wrong with this..

Dessert was ice cream for Shamini & I and yoghurt for Jamie & Jasmin.. Rafidah, Rozmah & Fred passed.

The conversation around the table was light and good throughout.. not at all mopey.. I guess it hasn't quite sunk in yet 'coz Jamie would still be around for a couple of days but when he leaves at the end of the month, it'll be for good.. and unless he comes back to vacation or if any of us make it to his part of the US, we'll never see him again.. Sad.. Farewell, Jamie.. Take care & keep in touch..
