Celebrating Ash's Birthday Gift - 5 June 2009

It'd been a while since we'd been to Daniel's place to chill and what better reason - a belated celebration of Ash's birthday! OK, it wasn't a proper birthday do.. no cake, no singing, etc. We'd done that all back at the office on Ash's actual birthday. Actually, it was more like Ash celebating his new 'Monopoly Here & Now' birthday gift!

Ash was very happy to receive the Monopoly set as he'd had his eye on it for a while and couldn't wait to play it. Daniel was gracious enough to host and it was a date!

We started playing at about 10pm. Actually, Monopoly is SO not my game but I gave it a go all the same..

We paused play at 11pm to watch 'Home', which turned out to be a beautifully shot, not too drastic (as opposed to The Inconvenient Truth or The 11th Hour) environmental film.

Unfortunately. most of us fell asleep halfway through the film.. I drifted in and out of sleep and instead of watching, I ended up just listening to the narration of about 1/3 of it.Surprisingly, after 'Home' ended we were all wide awake and continued with our Monopoly game which finally ended at 3+am with Hafeez as the champ and Ash the first person to go bankrupt! It was a fun night!
