Federal Territory Day - 1 February 2009

It's a Sunday and a Public Holiday today.. which means we get the day off tomorrow! YAY! Not so fast - I have to work tonight! Awww, man.. And, I can only start at close to midnight! The only consolation is that it'll only take about an hour or so. Thankfully, Marziana from our ad agency will be with me and she suggested meeting up earlier to go for makan.. Sounds like a good plan!

Apart from cleaning my apartment (the neverending saga!), I decided to take more experimental shots. Test subject: My kitties, of course! Eh, it's not all that easy trying to photograph them, y'know.. They move around a lot.. don't take instructions well.. but I had time to kill.

It rained all afternoon and that made me feel even lazier and the thought of getting dressed and going out to work was so unappealing! But... a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do, no? At least I had dinner to look forward to and I'm gonna make sure it'd be good!

Shots of my kitties..

An 'experimental' one of Girl.. Do I sense a li'l attitude, Girl? Girl giving me that "are we done yet?" look!

This was not a planned shot, hence the bad light but I couldn't resist taking it 'coz Chips looked SO cute.. Chips' close up..

Got loads of pix of Tisha this time - she's the hardest to photograph as she moves a lot! I chose to post this one 'coz I think it's kindda cute.. The tale of Tisha's tail.. her tail is like that permanently (tail bone structure is as such) and it will not straighten out!
My Boo and her pretty Aiswarya Rai eyes..

Boo the kay poh sitting on the balcony checking out... the river behind my apartment that had begun to swell due to the incessant rain..

I finally dragged myself to get ready to meet Marziana at KLCC at 9pm.. We met and headed off to this tomyam place called Tahara. I'd been here to eat once before (I think it's in one of my posts in July '08) and thought I'd give it another go.. Plus, Marziana also likes eating at these tomyam places.. especially if they are one of the better ones.. she's from Kelantan..
Tahara from across the street.. Our food.. boy, was I glad when it arrived - I was starving!

In addition to the kailan stirfried with salted fish and the fried egg and trhe incredible sambal belacan (Marziana gave the thumbs up to it too!), we also had the house speciality which is the daging bakar (I suppose you could say that it's an Asian take on roast beef?) and our deep fried fish came a li'l later - it was nice and crispy! It was a fulfilling meal and I was happy!

This is Marziana.. and this is one of the resident cats.. the other one was too hyper to photograph!

The view of KLCC from Tahara.. Some, giant figures of the.. God of Prosperity? at Jalan Pinang..
They were so huge and glaring, we just HAD to stop and take a pix!
Note: See the guy at the bottom of the pix.. OK, now do you have an idea of exactly how HUGE these figures were?

Fortunately, work went about like clockwork, we were done within an hour and got to go home. Well, at least I still have tomorrow to look forward to.. YAY!
