Plus, Carol, James and Jade had gone off to Vietnam from 30 September till 4 October and I had it in mind to take Luke, Nigel and Aunty Connie out. And, I also thought the long break was a good time for me to go cash in my Popular Bookstore vouchers.
30 September
Did absolutely nothing butsleep, eat, watch TV and read!
1 October
Decided to go get Jasmin's gift from and visit Popular Bookstore at Petaling Street. I'd asked the boys to join me but they didn't want to, which was a good thing, actually.
Took these pix of the graffiti from the Pasar Seni LRT Station. The "artwork" have increased - I must say, it is pretty good and I kindda hope that the authorities won't whitewash it.
Daniel, Fred and I were supposed to share in a gift for Jasmin and, mind you, it wasn't all that easy trying to get somethings that doesn't make us look miserly yet adhere's to the agreed budget.. give or take a couple of ringgit. Still, (I reckon) I managed something decent enough!
I spent forever at the bookstore just going crazy - the was a sale going on! I ended up with like 20 books, more than 1/2 of which are going to be Christmas pressies!
After all the shopping, I was just tired and hungry and ended up at the Reggae Bar just diagonally across the street from the bookstore.
2 October
Jasmin was nice enough to invite the boys and Aunty Connie over to her place for lunch too. So, we did lunch at Jasmin's, then I went and spent the rest of the afternoon at Carol's as I'd promised Luke that we'd go out for dinner. Nigel didn't want to go, so, it was just Aunty Connie, Luke and moi.
We ended up at La Bodega and had quite a feast of the seafood paella and tapas.
3 October
Aunty Connie cooked nasi lemak and invited me over for dinner and to stay over. The nasi lemak was delicious and I had good fun with the boys. Nigel was a little glum at first but perked up when reminded that mummy and daddy would be back the next day.
4 October
Hung out at Carol's till she, James and Jade eventually reached home. Carol looked great! I dunno if it was the sun, the better environmental conditions or just a good getaway that had given her a healthy glow. As for the (mummy's) boys... they were estatic to finally have the mummy home!
