Mona in Malaysia!

I was extremely excited when Mona finally confirmed her trip - she would arrive in Malaysia on 4 March! Mind you, her confirmation came with a "To Eat.." list - cute! Haha.. It had been about 3 1/2 years since I'd last seen her, so naturally I was very happy! I finally got to meet her when she made a trip to KL.
The girl's looking good, man.. doesn't quite look pregnant, just like she'd gain some weight (ok.. gained quite a bit) but she looked happy & radiant... Just check out the pix - taken at her room at the Mandarin Oriental where she stayed while in KL.
The following weekend it was my turn to make a trip to Penang. Jeevan & Shioana were also visiting but sadly, the day I arrived was the day they left.. here's Shiona & Mona, taken just before they left for the airport to go back to Singapore. Since I haven't been to Penang for a while this trip double fun.. Hey, I even drove in Penang this time... AND SURVIVED! Phew! Tho' I was pretty close to a nervous breakdown!!! Man.. generally bikes make me nervous and in Penang, they're everywhere!!!
Mona & I also managed to catch up with Rohaida, who took us to this place called QE2 located just by the ferry terminal. I must say, when you're at QE2 itself, it's hard to believe that the jetty is just close by.. QE2 is NICE! I'll definitely go back there next time I'm in Penang..

Looks nice eh? Kindda like it's not even in Penang, let alone by the jetty!!! On my last day in Penang Mona, her parents & I went to have lunch at this banana leaf place at the new & improved Swatow Lane. Nice place, good service, delish food.. except for the 'rassam' which wasn't quite to my liking.. Then it was to the airport and back to KL.. Sad...

Mona finally left for Cananda via Singapore on 19 March.. This was a short and really sweet trip..
