The month of August 2008..

August came and went pretty quickly. Work was a tad hectic as we had an event but many of us looked forward to the end of the month for the long Merdeka weekend!

I was pretty sick.. was running a pretty high fever at one point. I was glad I had the long Merdeka weekend 'coz I had tonnes of laundry and cleaning to do! My TV sorta died and I had to get a new one.. Damn!

Took Mechi to the vet to have him spayed and he came back a little sick too. The were so many cats there and I reckon he picked it up from there (where else.. the little fella doesn't go out at all!) Mechi recoverd pretty quickly but he passed on to Girl and she got very sick! Took her to the vet (which made her very nervous! Mechi was great and so calm on his ride to the vet!) and discovered that she was running a fever and had a sore throat (hey.. sounds like what I had too!) The vet gave her a jab and by the time she got home she was a whole lot better. I had to give her medication for a couple of days after that but Girl is SO good and took her medicine so well (ChaCha used to spit it out!)

Poor Girl.. She was so sick and looked so sad..

Hah! A whole month and a half after my birthday I receive the last of my birthday gifts! Cool!

It was a good one as I'd been eyeing this pair pf sandals at RSH for a while, they were having a sale and I was SO gonna get them.

And, get them I did! Yay!

The cats are all doing great (as in they all get along real well now) And, Boo had grown so much but she's so hyper curious and mischievious!

That her in my pants! She'd climbed up through the leg of my pants that was hanging on the rack all the way to the top and just hung out (excuse the pun!) there for a bit!

She's grown so fast and looking very pretty now.. and, when she's now climbing or playing catch with Mechi, she's actually very affectionate and chatty..

Jade's Birthday

I'm writing this on 6 August, which is Jade's actual birthdate but since it's a weekday, Carol decided to celebrate it on the Saturday before (2 Aug). Jade had a few friends over, there was lots of yummy food and instead of getting 1 big cake, Carol decided to have 35 cupcakes instead -pretty cool actually, especially since everyone just needed to grab a cupcake for themselves, minus hassle of cutting/serving the cake and washing up afterwards!

Luke with his silly expression that he insisted I photographed! I guess he felt a little out of place with all the girls around and ended up playing on the computer pretty much most of the evening except, of course, when it came time to makan!

The girls hanging around James who had played some games with them before they sat down to have dinner.. there was satay, pasta, garlic bread, fried chicken, roast duck, fried noodles, potato salad, tossed salad, fruit salad.. there was a lot of food, man.. ALL good!

Nigel refused to pose for the camera and made funny faces. He's growing up to be such a handsome boy..

I gave Jade a cell phone (pix) .. albeit not a new one, but one that she really likes - it was my old phone.. Well, it really ain't that old (about a year) and in excellent condition (I took good care of it!)

Most of the girls had to leave by about 9pm and secretly (I reckon) Jade was kindda happy 'coz she couldn't wait to meddle with the phone - she could whatever she wanted with it now that it is hers (yes, she used to bug me all the time about the phone, sometimes even via text messages asking me to hurry up and get a new phone so I could give the old one to her!!) I'm pretty sure she's happy now..

In the month of July 2008..

The month of July went by pretty fast.. especially the first half - what with the company's competition for schools' Grand Finals and loads of work that awaited my return to the office thereafter... Well, as I'd mentioned in my earlier posts, my colleague Nan had quit and I had to handle her portion of the work too, which kept me a busy little bee! The good part is that each day would fly pretty fast but.. I'd usually be SO tired come weekend! Plus, our department's new Director came on board mid-month..

During the course of the month I still had the chance to take some pretty interesting pix at regular places like...

The pet shop - interestingly named spray can eh? Japanese restaurant - had dinner here and saw this huge, friendly and immensely curious fish..

My office building, the KLCC Twin Towers (my office is in the tower on the left) with the view of the moon (the pix may not look much but standing there, looking at the towers and the moon was pretty awesome!) Glorious roast chicken at this little place I'd chanced upon and had dinner..

The kitties are all doing well.. tho' Mechi was a little unwell after being spayed.. Boo's still quite hyper but she's also a lot more affectionate and is quite possessive - she sometimes gets a little upset and makes it a point to jump on my lap and kacau me when she sees me stroking Mechi or Girl. Girl.. is Girl.. good, quiet and pretty as ever!
